STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL
First, fold your cord in half and find its centre point.
Measure your wrist. Hold the centre point (the fold point) and wrap around your wrist and then mark where the centre point touches the cord. We will call this the wrist point.
Fold your cord at the wrist point the centre point. This is the length of your bracelet. Then, move the wrist point about 0.5-1 half inchcloser to the centre point for later closure.
Cut your cord at the centre point. Cord ① is the right. Cord ② is the left. Be careful not to lose your wrist point.
Move Cord ① over the centre of both cord as illustrated.
Cord ② crosses over cord ① and goes under the centre part.
Cord ② goes through the loop of cord ①. Make sure you don’t lose your wrist point.
Next, pull cord ① and ② without losing your wrist point.
Tighten both loops. You should have a knot like the photo below. Remember not to pull it too tight because we will need it a little loose at the end.
Repeat step 8. Pull cord ① and ②. This time, you can tighten the knot as tight as you can. To start your next knot, remember cord ① is always on the top of the centre part. Cord ② always goes under the centre part and through the loop of cord ①.
Now, for the closure: First, put a hairpin on both ends of your cord.
Cord ①(the one that should be on the top of centre part) through the loop using the hairpin.
Next, cord ② goes through the same loop as cord ① using a hairpin. Then, put cord ② through the loop of cord ① from the front to the back.
Pull the cord. You should see your bracelet is like the photo below. Make sure it is nice and tight.
Put both ends through the loops at the other end. That is why we made those loops a little looser in step 9.
Measure the start of your bracelet and mark your starter point.
Fold the cord from your starter point. Separate them into cord ① and ②. Here, I used a hairpin as my marker.
Put cord ① on the top of the centre part and cord② under the centre part.
Move cord ① under the centre part and put it through its own loop. Put cord ② on the top of the centre part and it goes through its own loop too.
Tighten them up. You should be able to see the knot as below. You may also need to do some adjustments to get the knot to the right position.
Cut the rest of the cord.
Use a lighter to burn both ends.
Congratulations! You just finished your own Mad Max bracelet.
